Jessica Hiemstra is the author of two small books of poetry, Excerpts from Gerald God and the Chickens (Frog Hollow Press) and Anatomy for the Artist (Greenboathouse Press). Her poems have appeared in a number of Canada’s literary journals. Her first full length collection, Apologetic for Joy, was published by Goose Lane Editions in Autumn, 2011. She’s the recipient of the Malahat Review’s Open Season Award for Creative Non Fiction (2011). Jessica is also a visual artist.
