Notes: Rubinsky has published a short story collection, Rapid Transits and Other Stories, and linked stories, At First I Hope for Rescue. The title story in Rapid Transits won the $10,000 Journey Prize, as well as the Canadian National Magazine Award Gold Medal for Fiction. Her writing has been recognized in the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers program. This reading is part of a longer recording produced at Kootenay Coop Radio in Nelson, BC.
