Notes: Sally
Cooper grew up in Inglewood, Ontario, population
400. She received her Master of Arts in English
from the University of Guelph. Her book reviews
appear in The Globe and Mail and she
writes for the column “Lit Types” in
Mayday Magazine. She has published her
fiction, non fiction and poetry in various
periodicals in North America, and has stories in
recent issues of Grain and The
Nashwaak Review. Her first novel, Love
Object, came out in 2002 to critical acclaim.
Her second, Tell Everything, explores the
lines of consent as a young woman testifies against
a former friend on trial for murder. Cooper has two
dramatic short screenplays in pre-production with
Paulus Productions Inc. When she’s not
writing, she teaches in English in the Journalism
program at Humber College.
